HD, Analogue, IP and Hybrid Channel Inputs
Better Ways to Store Footage
When choosing a digital video recorder it is important to identify how many cameras you will need in your vehicle and whether you wish them to be in high-definition or not.
Our SURE MDVR range offers a higher quality picture (720p minimum) for up to 8 cameras which would be ideal for a van or smaller sized heavy vehicle e.g. single deck bus or small coach.
The Timespace options are perfect for those who wish to capture video footage using a higher number of cameras. Double-decker buses could require 16 cameras for the best coverage and this would mean using the Timespace V400 would be the better option. This device can then be linked to LANLink and PCLink which allows for you to track the vehicle, capture footage and store important vehicle information.

Vehicle Digital Video Recorders
The SURE MDVR Range - Analogue High Definition Output
The SURE MDVR range are popular digital video recorders among the smaller vehicle industries, however, they are often supplied into heavy goods vehicles too. Here are just some of the benefits you can expect with your MDVR.
- High Definition Recording: High quality video footage can be a necessity with some vehicle fleets that we supply to. This is often due to footage assisting drivers or passengers with insurance claims or incidents that require the emergency services. Being able to clearly identify what has happened in an incident will ensure that both passenger, driver and company are protected.
- Optional GPS, 4G and WiFi: The 4G data and Wi-Fi is a necessary when wanting to use Timespace or SURE applications for live viewing camera footage and monitoring the location of the vehicle. If you look at our SURE Enterprise management software you can see exactly what live tracking, live view and CCTV health monitoring looks like.
- 2DNR Digital Noise Reduction: 2DNR will analyse individual frames of video and correct pixels that are being affected by noise.
D053-DPX With Wide Dynamic Range
- Wide Dynamic Range: D053-DPX comes with wide dynamic range meaning when part of an image is extremely bright but another part is so dark that you can't see any details it will correct/balance the difference in lighting to create one level, clear image.
D057-650-COV With 940nm of Infrared Radiation
- 940nm Covert IR: D057-650-COV is our 940nm covert IR option of the D057. 940nm also known as 'covert IR' will not produce a red glow whilst recording which makes it the ideal camera to use on vehicles where red signals could be confusing e.g. brake lights. This camera is safe to use both internally or externally where lighting may be limited and is often used in the footwell of the driver cab or on the outside of the vehicle for use through tunnels or during night.
What is IP Rating IP67?
IP or Ingress Protection ratings are international standard ratings to define the sealing effectiveness of electrical enclosures against dirt, moisture and foreign bodies. The first number that follows IP has a specific meaning which indicates the level of protection the equipment has to foreign bodies excluding water. The second number will identify the level of protection the product has to moisture (submersion, drips, sprays etc).
(6) Totally dust-tight. Full protection against dust and other particulates, including a vacuum seal, tested against continuous airflow.
(7) Protection against full immersion for up to 30 minutes at depths of 3 feet.
